Sovern Foundation exists to keep the substrate independent from commercial and political interests. That independence is what ensures the ecosystem is governed for the benefit of its participants, not its founders.

The constitution is the mission that governs how the substrate is expanded and how the Sovern ecosystem is curated. It binds every participant equally, including Sovern itself.
